FIFA Mobile 22 Officially Launches on January 18! Here’s Everything You Need to Know!

EA has confirmed that the new season of FIFA Mobile will officially launch on January 18, 2022 (one day after the Preseason Freeze event ends). Here’s everything you need to know about upcoming changes in the new season.

Items (Carry Over & Reset)

Let’s take a look at what items will carry over to the new season and what won’t. In addition to Now & Later items, your remaining FIFA Points balance will carry over to the new season. The following is a complete list of what items carry over to the new season and which items don’t.

End of Season Team OVR

You will receive rewards in the FIFA Mobile new season based on the OVR of your final starting XI team. The higher your Active Lineup’s OVR, the better the rewards you will receive.

Legacy Event

This season and last season, there is a Legacy event where you can play your starting XI from the previous season. While there are many changes coming to the FIFA Mobile new season, there are limitations, notably the end of the Legacy event which is not compatible with the new game version. This means you will no longer be able to view or play with your FIFA Mobile 21 starting XI as a Legacy Team in the new season.

Regions

One of the major change coming with the FIFA Mobile 22 is the launch of new separate servers that are based on your location. All users will be included in 1 of 7 Regions. You will be playing the new season only with other users from your Region, which will improve matchmaking, enhance connectivity in competitive modes, make the game more accessible/affordable for users all over the world, and to bring more relevant live events for each Region in the long term.
